Reducing your company's direct and indirect emissions is an essential part of a successful climate strategy. We support you on the way to a green energy supply.
The decarbonization of your energy supply is a central component of your corporate climate strategy. We support you in identifying greenhouse gas reduction potential, also against the backdrop of changing market conditions. Evaluate these techno-economically and thus show you a path to a sustainable energy supply.
The greenhouse gas emissions associated with your company's corporate carbon footprint are categorized into Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions according to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. This categorization makes it possible to distinguish between direct and indirect emission sources to ensure that they are not covered by companies in the same scope.
Scope 1 emissions are therefore those caused directly by your company (e.g. by energy sources such as natural gas, coolants, radiators or company vehicles), while Scope 2 emissions are emissions caused indirectly by your company (mainly purchased energy such as electricity).
For an ecologically credible and economically sensible decarbonization of your Scope 1 & 2 processes, energy efficiency, the change of energy source and the self-generation of renewable energies are essential components. We support you in identifying and evaluating these potentially highly cost-effective projects. The results of these analyses are incorporated into your decarbonization roadmap, which shows you the specific path to reducing emissions.
Decarbonization of production
We support industrial companies in decarbonizing their sites—from analyzing the energy market, regulations, and relevant technologies to identifying specific measures. Based on techno-economic assessments, we develop site-specific implementation roadmaps and advise on suitable funding and financing options, such as the BAFA “Transformation Plans” program (Module 5).
Tenant electricity & energy concepts
We support companies in planning tenant electricity projects on a sound basis and evaluating them economically. To this end, we analyze load profiles, develop tailor-made tenant electricity concepts, and assist you with all energy law issues. With our modeling and economic evaluation of tenant electricity models, we create decision-making bases that are both ecologically sound and economically attractive. To this end, we develop business models that enable the economically viable marketing of your electricity generation. This allows companies to efficiently implement local, sustainable energy supply while creating added value for their tenants.
Strategic decarbonization through green energy procurement
The procurement of renewable energy sources is the cornerstone of reducing operational emissions. We develop customized green energy sourcing strategies based on individual company analyses. From the strategic procurement of green electricity certificates (HKN, I-RECs, RECs) and PPA negotiations to consulting on hydrogen and biomethane, we create holistic energy supply concepts that optimally combine economic efficiency, climate targets, and regulatory compliance.
